Mylocaltaxi.co.uk was launched in October 2000 as a single reference point to assist in locating taxi and private hire companies in the UK.
The directory now contains over 9,000 companies and can be accessed from any computer connected to the Internet world wide. A basic listing of each company (Company name, Town, County, Postcode and Telephone number) is shown. A search facility is available on any of the basic listing criteria.
Travellers are able to locate relevant companies in the area they are going to and make necessary travel arrangements directly with them before setting out. This also benefits visitors from overseas who are able to make any necessary arrangements from their home or office before travelling.
In addition to the above, the directory is now being used to source companies throughout the UK for Corporate work. |

To use the directory to source a company, click on Search. On the new page, on the left you will see a search form. Enter one or more search requirements and click on Search. The results of your request will be displayed on the right hand side.
You can enter partial search if required - for example 01923 in Telephone box will display all companies with 01923 as part of their telephone number.
You can click on any column heading to sort either ascending or descending. By default, the companies will be displayed in ascending order.

It is hoped to get companies to add further information about their services. This will be accessed by clicking on their company name from the results of the search.
Information available will include web site (if applicable), email address, business hours and any other information they wish to provide.

Basic listings are FREE to all taxi, private hire, chauffeur and limosine companies. Use Get Listed button to submit your details.
January 2006 will see the introduction of a further service whereby you can promote your business with more detailed information about your company and the service you offer. This facility will be controlled by yourselves. An annual subscription will be required for this service. Companies that take up this offer will be given their own Login and password so that they can update themselves as often as they wish. Help will be provided if required.
